Hi Everyone and Happy Friday the 13th to you!! I hope nobody is terribly superstitious here...I personally have had many GOOD things happen to me on Friday the 13. I hope today turns out the same way!

I love making ribs because I know the most important part of the recipe is to get them in the marinade early enough to get the marinade working! I haven't tried this recipe but love the idea of adding apple juice to the marinade. I would probably add oregano instead of thyme but leave the rest of the recipe looking pretty close to the same. If you happen to try this or any featured recipe, I would LOVE to hear from you with comments, suggestions or ideas!! Enjoy!!

Zesty Apple Ribs

3/4 cup apple juice
1/2 cup beer
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 pounds boneless country-style pork ribs

In a small bowl, combine the first 10 ingredients. Pour 1-1/2 cups marinade into a large resealable plastic bag then add the ribs. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 5 hours or overnight, turning once. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade for basting.
Prepare grill for indirect heat. Drain and discard marinade. Grill ribs, covered, over indirect medium heat for 10 minutes on each side. Baste with some of the reserved marinade. Grill 20-25 minutes longer or until juices run clear and meat is tender, turning and basting occasionally. Yield: 12 servings.
