July 10, 2007 One Steak Marinade/Cheesy Veggy Noodles

Hi Everyone and Happy Tuesday to you!

It is destined to be another pressure cooker hot day today! What are you doing to stay cool? We have had our air conditioner on for the last couple of days and still have a hard time when it comes to dinnertime, cooking and eating. This recipe is "just what the doctor ordered". Enjoy!

One Steak Marinade

1 tbsp minced onion
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl, mix well. Pour over steak in ziploc bag or airtight container, marinate in refrigerator for 2 hours. Grill over medium flame to desired doneness. Can also be broiled if desired.
Notes: If desired, add a dash of black pepper to marinade.

Time to Prepare: 5 minutes

Number of servings: 2

Serve with:

Cheesy Veggy Noodles

2 cups elbow macaroni
2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
4 tbsp. butter
1/2 cup milk
1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
salt and fresh, cracked pepper, to taste

Cook noodles as directed on package. Halfway through cooking time, add frozen vegetables. Drain. Add remaining ingredients, stir until butter and cheese are melted.

Time to Prepare: 5 minutes
Time to Cook: 15 minutes
Number of servings: 6
